  PASS PLUS:        passplus_logo                 Discounts   Available

Did you know? Newly qualified drivers are more at risk in the first year after passing the test than at any other time in their motoring career. They can be as much as two seconds slower than a practiced driver in recognising danger and one in five will have an accident.

PASS PLUS is a training scheme for new drivers. It's much more than just a few extra lessons. It is a specially designed course by the Driving Standards Agency (DSA), with the help of insurers and the driving instruction industry.

********************************************************************

Both Aberdeen City & Aberdeenshire Councils are currently offering a Grant to subsidise the Driving Standards Agency's Pass Plus scheme. This is at present £45

To Qualify for this grant drivers must be aged between 17-25 and have passed their test within the past 12 months & have successfully passed the Pass Plus course. Claymore Driver Training can supply all the relevant details for applying on request.

At present the cost for Pass Plus is £150, taken on a 1 day-6 hour course.

The training is designed to advance your skills in the following areas:

Driving in town, in all weathers, at night, on rural roads & on dual carriageways & motorways.

Special attention will be paid to the drivers attitude to other people on the road, their perception of hazards and the need to practice positive driving techniques.

Pupils who reach the required standard can get a substantial discount on their motor insurance premium from companies supporting the scheme.
